Biografi Singkat Alfred Riedl

AnakMuda 3007 - Alfred Rield lahir di Vienna, Austria, 2 November 1949. Riedl mengawali karir sepakbola profesional di tim Austria Wien pada 1967-1972.

Saat berusia 22 tahun, Riedl memutuskan untuk hijrah ke klub Belgia. Di sana dia bermain untuk klub Saint Truiden (1972-1974) dan FC Antwerp (1974-1976).

Dari Belgia, Riedl kemudian pindah ke Prancis bersama FC Metz (1980). Namun, Riedl hanya semusim berada di Prancis. Selanjutnya Riedl memilih untuk kembali ke Austria dan berpindah-pindah klub mulai dari Grazer AK, Wiener Sportclub dan VfB Modling.

Saat masih menjadi pesepakbola, Riedl tergolong striker haus gol. Pria yang kini telah menginjak usia 60 tahun itu tercatat dua kali sebagai top skorer Jupiler League (Liga Belgia). Masing-masing saat membela Saint-Truiden (1972/73) dan Antwerp (1974/75).

Di Liga Austria, Riedl juga pernah dua kali menjadi top skorer. Masing-masing saat membela Austria Wien (1969 dan 1970). Sampai saat ini, Riedl setidaknya telah mengoleksi 210 gol dari 427 kali penampilan.

Riedl juga sempat terpilih sebagai striker timnas Austria. Debutnya diawali saat Austria berhadapan dengan Hungaria, 1975.

Sayangnya, kiprah Riedl di timnas tak seindah di klub. Dari empat kali penampilannya, tak sekalipun Riedl mampu mencetak gol.
